Terms & Conditions - The Music Nest

1. Enrolment

A completed registration form must be submitted before a place can be offered. Places are limited to 32 per term and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may be placed on a waiting list if all spaces are filled. All registered students will be invited to attend a short audition session prior to the start date to assess musical ability and ensure suitable placement.

 

2. Musical Requirements

Instrumental students are expected to play at approximately Grade 3 level or above. Students not yet at this level may still be offered places in choir, theory, or musicianship sessions, depending on availability. Students are expected to bring their own instruments (apart from keyboards, which are provided).

 

3. Term Dates & Attendance

The Music Nest runs three 10-week terms each year, with a short break halfway through each term.Sessions take place on Sundays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.Consistent attendance is expected so that group work and performances can progress effectively.

 

4. Fees & Payment

Fees are payable in advance for each term.Payment plans are available (monthly, per term, or annually at a 15% discount). Once a term has begun, fees are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of The Music Nest.

 

5. Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your child’s place before the term starts, at least two weeks’ notice must be given in writing for a partial refund (minus an administrative fee). No refunds will be issued once the term has commenced.In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the service, please contact us directly so that we can address any concerns. Refunds or credits may be offered at our discretion. If The Music Nest must cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, venue closure, or extreme weather), we will either reschedule or issue a credit toward the next term.

 

6. Behaviour & Expectations

We expect all students to behave respectfully toward teachers, peers, and property. Repeated disruptive behaviour may result in dismissal without refund. Students must follow staff instructions at all times to ensure a safe and positive environment.

 

7. Health & Safety

Parents must provide accurate emergency contact and medical information. The Music Nest staff hold enhanced DBS checks and follow safeguarding procedures in line with statutory guidelines. Parents are responsible for ensuring children are dropped off and collected on time.

 

8. Instruments & Personal Belongings

Students are responsible for their own instruments and belongings. The Music Nest cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal property.

 

9. Media & Photography

Photos or videos may be taken for educational or promotional purposes only with parental consent provided on the registration form.

 

10. Changes to Policy

The Music Nest reserves the right to make reasonable changes to timetables, teachers, or terms of service as needed. Parents will be notified of any significant updates.
